First: Definition and Categories of Membership
Membership is a professional subscription offered by the Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors (SAIA) to individuals and entities, aimed at supporting and developing practitioners in the field of internal auditing and enabling them to benefit from the professional services and benefits provided by SAIA.
Membership is divided into the following categories:
- Individual membership: Intended for practitioners and individuals interested in the field of internal auditing.
- Student membership: Designated for students enrolled at educational institutions, with the aim of supporting and professionally developing them.
- Corporate membership: Designated for entities wishing to register a group of their personnel under SAIA's membership.
SAIA's membership is also linked to membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), enabling members to benefit from the professional benefits associated with international membership. SAIA's local membership shall be activated immediately upon completion of registration and payment of fees, whereas activation of the membership linked to the IIA may take up to three (3) working days from the date of payment.
Second: Membership Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions shall apply to all types of memberships offered by SAIA:
- Members shall comply with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, as well as the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Members shall use their membership in a manner that does not contravene the laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and shall refrain from any misuse of the membership or of any of the services provided by SAIA.
- Members acknowledge their full responsibility for the validity and accuracy of the information submitted, and undertake to provide accurate and up-to-date information. SAIA shall not be liable for any errors or inaccurate information.
- Members agree to receive electronic communications related to membership management and related professional updates.
- Members' data shall be processed and stored in accordance with SAIA's approved Privacy Policy.
Third: Membership Registration Procedures
- Individual membership:
- Registration is completed through SAIA's website.
- Applicants shall provide the required information and acknowledge their full responsibility for its accuracy.
- Membership fees shall be paid through the payment methods available on the website.
- Membership is activated immediately upon successful completion of payment.
- The membership linked to the IIA shall be activated within a period not exceeding three (3) working days from the date of payment.
Fees:

All subscription fees are final and non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable to any third party.
2.Student membership:
- Student membership applications shall be submitted through the platform and shall be subject to review by SAIA to verify that the following conditions are met:
- The applicant must be enrolled at an accredited educational institution.
- The applicant must attach such documents as SAIA may require to verify current enrollment.
- All information and documents submitted must be accurate and valid at the time of application.
- Where the application is approved, the applicant shall be notified accordingly and shall be enabled to complete the payment process.
- Payment must be completed within a period not exceeding seven (7) working days from the date of notification. Where payment is not made within this period, the application shall be deemed canceled.
- Membership is activated upon successful completion of payment.
Fees:

3.Corporate membership:
- Corporate membership applications shall be submitted through SAIA's website or approved channels.
- Corporate memberships are vested in the registered entity.
- Corporate memberships are available in several categories, each including a specified number of members, as follows:
- Gold: Up to thirty (30) members, with a 30% discount on SAIA's products and services only.
- Silver: Up to twenty (20) members, with a 25% discount on SAIA's products and services only.
- Bronze: Up to ten (10) members, with a 20% discount on SAIA's products and services only.
- Applicants shall select the appropriate membership category based on the number of members and the associated benefits.
- Membership fees shall be paid through the website or via bank transfer, as mutually agreed.
- Membership shall be activated upon successful completion of payment and verification of the information submitted.
- Members affiliated with the entity shall be added under the corporate membership through the entity's authorized representative, within the limits of the number specified for each category. The entity may replace members during the membership period by removing a member and adding a replacement, provided that the replacement member's entitlement to benefits shall be limited to the remaining period of the existing membership, without any extension or reset of the membership term.
Fees:

- The number of members in each category may be increased upon payment of an additional fee.
- All subscription fees are final and non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable to any third party.
Fourth: Membership Benefits
Upon subscribing to SAIA's membership, members enjoy a range of professional and knowledge-based benefits designed to support their professional development and strengthen their alignment with contemporary practices in the field of internal auditing. These include the following:
- Access to the latest news and developments in the internal auditing profession, both locally and internationally.
- Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Access to the exclusive content through the IIA's website.
- Attendance at seminars, forums, and professional events.
- Participation in member gatherings and interactive workshops.
- Earning Continuing Professional Education credits (CPEs).
- Exclusive discounts on the following:
- Training programs offered by SAIA.
- Professional examinations, materials, and publications issued by the IIA.
Academic materials and publications offered by SAIA.
Fifth: Membership Duration and Renewal
- The membership period shall be one year, commencing from the date of membership activation.
- Membership shall be renewed prior to its expiry through the member's account on the website, by paying the prescribed fees in accordance with the payment method approved for each membership type.
- Where membership is not renewed prior to its expiry date, it shall be deemed to have expired as of the expiry date, and access to membership benefits shall cease.
- Membership may be reactivated after its expiry in accordance with the procedures approved for each membership type, and SAIA may require the fulfillment of any additional requirements as the case may be.
- SAIA reserves the right to modify the membership period or its renewal mechanism. Any updates shall be published on the website.
Sixth: Members' Rights and Obligations
- Members are entitled to benefit from the membership services and advantages provided by SAIA, in accordance with the type and category of their registered membership.
- Members are entitled to receive professional information and updates relating to SAIA's activities and programs through its official channels.
- Members are entitled to manage and update their information through their account on the website.
- Members are entitled to benefit from the discounts and benefits associated with their membership, in accordance with their registered category.
- Members shall comply with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, as well as the applicable professional standards.
- Members shall not use SAIA's name, logo, or any reference to SAIA in any manner whatsoever without prior written consent.
Seventh: Suspension or Termination of Membership
- SAIA reserves the right to suspend or terminate the membership of any member in the event of a breach of these terms and conditions or of the applicable laws and regulations, or of any violation of the Code of Ethics or the professional standards for internal auditing.
- SAIA reserves the right to take such measures as it deems appropriate in the event of misuse of the membership or any conduct prejudicial to SAIA's interests or reputation.
- In matters relating to the international membership, the membership shall also be subject to the policies and procedures of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and such measures may be taken as required under those policies.
- The suspension or termination of membership shall not give rise to the refund of any fees paid.
