The Saudi Authority for Internal Auditors (SAIA) announced its membership in Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors, the continental professional umbrella organization that brings together professional bodies and institutes specializing in the field of internal auditing across Asia.

This membership reflects the SAIA's commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanging knowledge and expertise at the regional and international levels, in line with its efforts to develop the profession. It also reflects the SAIA's dedication to representing the Kingdom in international forums and implementing professional standards.

Mr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shebeili, CEO of SAIA, affirmed that the membership in the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors represents a significant addition to the SAIA's journey, enabling it to establish regional and international partnerships that allow for the exchange of successful experiences and best practices, which will help raise the efficiency of internal auditors in the Kingdom, enhance stakeholder confidence in the quality of professional work, and ensure the reliability of auditing practices.

Al-Shebeili added that international partnerships are a key pillar in supporting the SAIA’s strategy, through consolidating the principles of governance and enhancing commitment. He stressed that this step constitutes an extension of SAIA’s efforts to strengthen its regional and global standing and contribute to the development of the profession in line with the latest global practices.
