2025 Annual Internal Audit Conference concludes in Riyadh

2025 Annual Internal Audit

Under the theme "A New Chapter", the Annual Internal Audit Conference 2025 concluded today. It was organized by the Saudi Authority for Internal Auditors (SAIA) at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center under the patronage of President of the General Court of Audit and Chairman of SAIA’s Board of Directors H.E. Dr. Hussam Abdulmohsen Alanqari, and hosted by the Executive Management of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), with the participation of distinguished local and international specialists and professionals, and a strong professional attendance.

During the conference, H.E. Alanqari launched the new identity of SAIA, in a step that is considered a pivotal transformation for enhancing the position of internal auditing as a fundamental pillar of governance and raising performance efficiency in the public and private sectors. The event also featured the unveiling of several strategic projects, including the artificial intelligence tool “Sara” to support auditing operations according to high security standards. The Executive AI Program for Internal Auditors was also announced in cooperation with the Spanish IE University for developing national competencies and qualifying them to lead the digital transformation in the sector.

During the conference, the winners of the first edition of the Internal Audit Award for the public and private sectors were honored in recognition of their efforts and achievements. Dr. Hussam also honored those who obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) fellowship certification, in recognition of their efforts and their role in promoting professional practice.

The conference witnessed the signing of three cooperation agreements and covered three main sessions, five panel discussions, and eight specialized professional workshops presented by leading figures in the field from around the world, aiming to enhance practices and develop the performance of professionals in line with the Kingdom’s objectives. The conference serves as an important professional platform for discussing the future of internal auditing amid the regulatory and technological transformations underway in the sector.
