The Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors
SAIA is an independent professional body operating under the oversight of the General Court of Audit, and represents the first professional reference for the internal auditing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SAIA was originally established in 2011 under the name of Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors by the Council of Ministers Decision No. (84).
On 1 Dhu alQi'dah 1446 AH, corresponding to 29 April 2025, the Council of Ministers issued Resolution No.(763) amending its name to the "Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors, "and transferring the authority to issue licenses for practicing the internal auditing profession from the Ministry of Commerce to SAIA.
